Hi I’m totally new here and wanted some other bunny owners insight if possible. I have already contacted my vet and she told me to wait a week and see what happens. My bunny Twix has been off medication for about a week now (gi stasis) and her poops were normal. I was feeding her a diet of plain Timothy hay and alfalfa (she’s about 13 weeks old) i noticed earlier that she has a lot of uneaten cecotropes (I think that’s how it’s spelled) I am incredibly worried and I haven’t noticed any other normal poops): any insight would be amazing! Sorry if I posted on the wrong board or something):

This may or may not be the case since she’s on a hay/alfalfa diet, but some times bunnies produce extra cecotropes, aka cecals, due to diet (my Tilly made TONS when she was on high-calorie pellet food before we got her. These continued for a week or so after her diet changed.) It could also just be her tummy settling back out after the medication, and she may think (for medication, excess fur, or whatever reason) that the cecals are contaminated. You could try offering her some of the extra cecals that are laying about, and if she missed them by mistake there’s a chance she’ll eat them them. Whether she takes them from you or ignores them, keep an eye on her other poops and keep an eye on her food and water intake. If everything else seems normal, behavior included, but there are simply extra cecals, it should sort itself out shortly.

In case you haven’t seen one yet; here is one of several guides to bunny poops. It’s got basic information for bunny owners.

You are amazing! Thank you so much! I will keep an eye on her. So far everything is normal the vet said to start adding in pellets so I gave her a few earlier. I was worried it could be dehydration or something like that. I would hate to have to syringe feed and water her again): didn’t even cross my mind to give her the extra cecals though.

                Are the cecotropes runny ?

No. They are formed a little mushy. She’s eating some but walking all over most of them):

                    Could it be isc ?

I have no idea what that is. Sorry): my other rabbit panda has never had any health problems but as soon as I got Twix things seem to be heading downwards. Is isc fatal? I don’t mind cleaning up after her all the time I just want her to be okay):

That could possibly be it. Sorry about the delay in posting. I think i’ll experiment with her diet a bit and see if that will help. Thanks so much for your responses! The help means so much!
