I really can’t handle anymore sick pets, praying this is nothing serious at all. She’s going to the vet first thing in the morning but she hasn’t wanted to eat pellets, hay, or fruit since Wednesday. She’s drinking water at least & still using the bathroom, dropping quite a few cecals actually. She’s sitting still for the most part. Unfortunately I don’t have any critical care on hand The last one expired recently.

She also has urine on her paws & underside, so I tried cleaning her up a bit with a cloth, she’s not too happy with me  I usually bring both bunnies to the vet as company for the other but I’m sort of unsure about doing it this time since she’s so messy. I’ll probably end up bringing them both anyway unless anyone suggests otherwise?

She also won’t be seeing her usual vet tomorrow since he won’t be in. I been wanting to switch her to my late parrot’s vet since they took such good care of us but was hoping her first visit with him would be just a check up. Oh well
I’m just a bit nervous right now & could use some prayers & vibes for my baby girl! Will try & update after her appointment.

If the CC isn’t expired by much, I think you could still use it. Otherwise, use ground-up pellets. Try to give her a little tummy-massage, here’s a good instructive video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnuxGLa2reg

If she’s very messy you could try giving her a butt bath, since you’ll want to get rid of the urine, it can cause severe irritation. Dry her off gently with a soft towel after, a microfiber-towel is generally best.

Vibes for Mimzy… I would use the cc, if it’s only a few weeks out of date it should be fine, it will still contain the fibre etc but the probiotic cultures might not be as effective.

If they normally travel together I would bring them both. If you’re concerned about them being in contact then you can use seperate carriers, but being able to see/smell each other should reduce stress.

Remember to bring poops and some of those extra cecals she’s not eating. I hope she feels better, soon!

Thanks everyone! This was all very helpful. I ended up bringing Obi-bun along
She apparently has Gut Stasis. She was having diarrhea last night as well so they did take a fecal sample at the vet, gave her some water through an IV & a probiotic shot. Sent me home with some more critical care, some probiotic & 3 other medications. She ate hay as soon as they got back to the cage & she’s drinking plenty of water. She’s been moving around a little bit more, still not as active as I’d like of course but she’s at least been curious about me cleaning the room & getting in my way as always xD
Thank you for the vibes!! I’m still worried about her but I think she’ll be ok soon. Keep sending prayers & vibes please

What a time for her to get sick too :/ I’ve been planning for a while to start building a new bed loft tomorrow! I was planning on caging them in a different room while I’m building so they can be away from the noise. Unless putting her in a different room would stress her out too much. I think she’ll be ok if Obi-bun is with her
