        Hello,

my bunny Emilio has been sick with bloated stomach and gas. He went to the vet where they gave him medications, he was there for one and half day. He got better and we brought him home on Saturday.

We have to give him 4 medications twice a day for 5 days.

He is much better, he’s eating (maybe a little bit less than before); his poops are still way less than usual though and not healthy looking (they are a bit slimy and some are cecotropes and other are small and dry)

Is it normal that he’s still a bit off or should i get worried? and when should i expect his poops to go back to normal?

His eating hay, veggies and only a little bit of pellets as a treat.

        Thanks!

It’s normal for their poop to be weird for some time after a thing like this. For how long is not possible to say, it will take some rabbits up to a month until they get their tummies back into perfect working order. While he’s on meds he’s likely to have weird poop. As long as he doesn’t get down-right diarrhea, it’s all a part of his healing process. But if he get runny stools (or stop pooping again of course), contact your vet again.

Thank you so much for the update, I’ve been thinking a lot about Emilio. (((((((((continued healing-vibes))))))))
