  Hey all. I have been lurking on this site on and off since my husband and I were asked to watch my niece’s rabbit back in October. Turns out Sugar BunBun (now more commonly just called Bunny) is here to stay so I decided to go ahead and join.
  
  Bunny is approximately 6 years old, and has been with my in-laws for the last four years. He was seen being dumped in a city park, my sister in law offered to take him overnight before dropping him off at a rescue. Needless to say my niece named him and he never left.
  
  Bunny is quite well behaved for being an unfixed male bun, is quite affectionate and loves food. He is constantly convinced that he is starving but luckily considers having his hay basket refilled as treats.
  
  This is my first venture into keeping rabbits but was tentatively considering adopting one in the future. We are so happy to add Bunny to our small zoo (we also have bearded dragons, a tortoise and prairie dogs).

  Thanks tanlover and jerseygirl. Bunny was extra cheeky about looking for attention this morning, probably his way of letting me know he could hear your compliments… “See mom, the bunny people say I’m handsome, you should love me even more.”

  Aww, Bunny looks adorable. Such a cute little face – he’s definitely right all the hay and love for him.
  
  I didn’t know people could keep Praire dogs as pets. That’s pretty awesome.

  Prairie dogs aren’t ideal pets since they need to be closely bonded to their humans if you are going to be able to spend time with them, and the bonding process can be quite slow and painful. Our oldest PD will be 14 in December and is a super cuddle big with my husband and I. The husband has had him since he was a pup. Our younger two are rehomes and still can’t be trusted to be polite out of their cage, but hopefully over time we will be able to spend more time with them.
