Hello, I adopted a gorgeous Flemish giant mix in November. He has been shedding all summer! I’ve had buns most of my life, and generally they have their big shd a few times a year, which only lasts a couple weeks. My female Rex finished her shed back in the spring. His coat is shinny and soft, and he had a complete health check in the spring. He is not itchy. Just wondering if someone had experience with this? Luckily he eats tons of hay, so he hasn’t had an hairball issues. We have air conditioning, so it’s not heat related.
        Thanks in advance!

My bunny is the same and seems to be in a constant shed – sometimes more heavy than usual during proper shedding times – but constant none the less. I was going to post a question about it myself so I’m interested to see the responses you get here. I’ve only had Belle have funny turns a few times and every time a good tummy rub has sorted her out – other than that I just try to get as much fur off as I can during the heavy shed times.

Two out of three of my buns stay in constant shed, with what I have noticed in the two years I’ve had them, 2 BIG sheds in there. But constant as well. I think it is because of the air conditioning to be honest.

Rupert (and for that matter both my dogs) shed all the time, sometimes in large sheds during spring and fall, but really it never stops. I literally have to sweep prior to vacuuming, and vacuum prior to setting the roomba on. Yup but we love ’em.
