Tomorrow a heat wave which can have temperatures in the mid to high 90’s and feels above 100 is coming in. My rabbit is outdoors, and I usually cool his ears and give him frozen water bottles, but I feel like that might not be enough for temps. this high. I looked online and it turns out bringing him into A/C could give him shock. How do I deal with this? Also I might be bringing him to the vet and they will have A/C there too.

Mine have a/c and are fine. Bring him in early morning or later in the day when the temps are down a bit and ensure he is not directly in front of the blowers. I think he will be fine inside.

What you want to be careful about is a sudden change in temperature. You want to avoid anything over 20F sudden change. If it is 90F outside just set you AC to 75F and he should be fine. After he has acclimated to that temperature you can lower it if you want.

I agree with Roberta. That is too hot to leave a bun outside but you don’t want to take a bun from super hot and put him in a very cool place. Bring him in before the heat starts.
