My bunny spends almost all day outside on the grass and her run is moved around regularly so she gets new grass every few days. She has never been a massive hay eater but I have found a hay she does seem to enjoy a bit. She eats lots of grass during the day time and I was just wondering that as hay is dried grass then is she getting the benefits from eating the grass rather than hay? Is it OK that she doesn’t eat as much hay as other rabbits as her diet is so grass heavy?

I would think she’s ok, hay is grass after all. I give my buns fresh picked grasses in the summer and they eat considerably less hay this time of year.

Rabbit Hole Hay just wrote an article about grass versus hay that you might find interesting: http://blog.rabbitholehay.com/Can-M…e=facebook. Granted, they are a hay company and thus committed to selling more hay, so I would definitely take what they say with a grain of salt. I do agree with their point that since hay is coarser, it helps with sanding down rabbits’ teeth. But since it sounds like you’re giving your rabbit both hay and grass anyway, I wouldn’t worry.
