What does it mean when a rabbit jumps and then kicks or rejumps (cant explain) in mid air? We fed pepper some banana for the first time today and she began doing that while exploring the house, im a tad scared of her still seems she strong when she kicks so my bf had to help me with her, we put her back in her home. But i was just wondering what does it mean?

Sounds like super happy bunny binkies to me. Fresh banana always makes my boys really hyper.

Those jumps are called binkies and means the bunny is really, really happy!

Binkies are so cute 🙂 I’m not sure is there’s anything on this forum (maybe some one else can direct to page) outlining bunny behaviors, I searched the net to find it all out, for quiet animals, it’s amazing how they can communicate all sorts; zooms, ‘purring’, stomps etc.

A wee tip I can share, my boys didn’t like being picked up to go into their cage, we would put their food in the cage and let them go in on their own. It got to the point where they knew it was nearly ‘dinner time’ and would hang round the cage close to the time. Now however, they don’t mind being picked up by my partner and I (and they don’t have a cage anymore).

My bunny does that every time I come into his room. This just means that your bunny is excited that he just got his banana and is super happy
