Rosie is a 4-5 months old mini lop. She’s healthy, has been eating, drinking, pooping and peeing regularly. She breathes rapidly. Everything I read says between 30-60 breaths per minute but last I counted it was between 100-130!!! She seems relaxed right now but she’s had regular exercise as well every day.
No hot ears, drippy nose, weepy eyes, nothing. So I’m stumped!! Anything else I might be missing or is my bun-bun just a fast breather?

**update** I just realized that I forgot to mention she sneezes quite often through the day. I am not sure if this is relevant or not.

How’s the eat where you are ? Bunnies are very susceptible to it. Anything up to or over 27C/80F can cause heat stroke.

Yes, heat can certainly be a factor.

That may be a worry. Rabbits can only breath through their nose. So if she has some congestion, she’d need to take extra breaths to get the air she needs.

Thanks everyone. I lowered the temp in my apartment and put on a few fans to make sure she’s comfy and she seems to be slowing down a bit. She’s easily spooked so I feel like she’s breathing fast because something spooked her.

**update** We are at 48 breaths per minute now! Phew!! Having a baby bun-bun is never dull!
