        Hi all,

I was playing with my bunny a few days ago and noticed a strange white mark in one of his eyes that never used to be there… It’s only in one and is rather worrying? I thought it might be the start of a cataract, but also thought those tended to be circular? I also considered a scratch or an infection, but it’s definitely under the eye and not at all scratch looking… I left it to see if it would clear up or if any other symptoms would show, but it hasn’t gone and it hasn’t gotten any worse… (No swelling, no weeping, no sign of his eye hurting at all)

I have managed to get a photo of both of his eyes, and wanted to know if any of you knew what it could be? I can’t take him to the vets until after I get paid in a few weeks, but even then I would like to avoid it if possible as I already have a high vet bill with Binky’s vaccination and spay

I’m afraid you’ll have to get him seen by a rabbit knowledgeable vet.

There are various infections (bacterial or parasite) that can cause this.

Will they allow you to pay bills in installments?

It’s difficult to tell from the picture, but Jerseygirl is right. There are a number of things that it could be and they require vet treatment.

I’m not sure if my vets will allow me to pay in installments but I’ll definitely take him go get checked as soon as my money goes in! I’d rather be out of pocket and know my baby is healthy! Thankyou!

Yes I think a vet check is best.
