My rabbit isn t potty trained but it seems that she had potty trained herself to pee and poop directly infront of the door meaning that she doesn t poop or pee anywhere except when infront of the door what can I do to change that habit and make her go pee and poop in a litter box

The best thing would imo be if you could put a litter-box on her favorite pee-spot in front of the door. Put some of her poop + sth she’s peed on in it so she understands this is where she should go from now on. Then you could start to slowly inch the litterbox away from her favourite spot, little by little by little until it’s in a spot that suits you better, – this should be done very slowly, perhaps over weeks – and hope that she keeps using the box. This is just about how I did with my bunny Yohio, who also was a “natural” with potty-training.

It is great that she has this natural tendency to pee and poop in one spot =)

She’s acting out her wild cousins’ side. Wild bunnies will leave lots of poops around the opening of their burrow. My girl bun is very impeccable with her potty habits except leaving pee right at the door every once in a while. All other bunnies, stay out!

Bam does that too, I never knew wild bunnies did that but it makes total sense. Bam makes a poop line along the gate to Yohio’s quarters. I’ve put a litterbox there so most of the poop goes in that but from time to time there’s a poop line beside the box as well.
