For those of you who have HEPA air purifiers, especially with charcoal filters that reduce odors, I’m curious if you’ve noticed any change in your bun’s behavior after you started using it?

My thinking is, since they reduce odors, would it also decrease territorial behaviors (eg, peeing on bed that smells strongly of you) by reducing human scent or perhaps it would increase such behavior by reducing the bun’s own scent?

Probably the scent embedded in such things as mattresses is too strong to a bun for the air purifier to have much impact, but just curious if anyone has noticed any such changes?

        Thanks!

Hmmm Guess not ha ha. Sorry. I don’t have one in use. Are you seeing a change in behavior or trying to avoid behaviors???

Was just curious if it might help out a bit with curbing such behaviors. I’m anticipating I will encounter this at some point sooner or later with my new bun in Sept and just preparing in advance in every way I can.

Of course, I’ll use all the other tricks in my arsenal as learned in this forum & elsewhere (starting with mattress protectors, shower curtains, and heavy supervision), but was curious about this possibility of charcoal air filters maybe helping matters too.

those really only take care of scents in the air whereas your rabbits will be smelling scents on objects. So I don’t think it would affect anything. I have an air purifier in my rabbits room, but they aren’t hormonal anyway.
