I am located in Delaware, and willing drive to neighboring states to find a more reasonably price veterinarian for my rabbits. I currently have 3 buns. Chubbs was found on the side of the road, and we spent 450 to have him neutered. Rosco was adopted from a shelter already neutered.. Then there is the newest addition, Fiona. I was quoted 900 to have her spayed by the vet who neutered Chubbs, and two other local veterinary. Ultimately if I can’t find a cheaper alternative than I will shell out the 900 to have her spayed, but i wanted to see if anyone knew of any other options in nearby states.

The only one that I know that is remotely close to Delaware is Chadwell Animal hospital. What part of Delaware do you live in?

Noerhern Delaware. I believe that is about an hour or so away, not too bad. I will add them to my list to call.

Those prices sounds very high to me. I hope that you can find a good vet that isn’t too far away and is more reasonable.

Have you seen this vet list that is on the website of the PA & DE chapter of the HRS?

I’m in Jersey, and know two good rabbit vet practices. Porky’s regular vet, who is very inexpensive, and the exotics department at the 24/7 veterinary ER, which obviously is more expensive.

That said, I’m way up north in NJ. It would be a very long drive.

Yes, I have seen the list. I also emailed them to see who they would recommend in delaware, and the told me they are all super expensive here and to try outside the state. They recommended the vet they use in PA, they aren’t as expensive but still pricy. I’ve been working on calling places, but a lot of them don’t seem to want to tell me price without seeing the rabbit first.
