Last night Bun Bun got into a bag of hot dog buns and he ate about two and also chewed through the plastic. Will he be okay?

All you really can do right now I if he’s acting his normal self is monitor his poop and appetite. 2 hot dog buns sounds like rather a lot. Has he eaten anything else after the buns? Has he pooped? He should eat hay and drink water. If he stops pooping/eating you should contact a vet. Test his appetite with a (small) treat now and then.

Agree with Bam. Close monitoring. Offer wet greens and hay. At the first sign of no poops, no appetite, lethargy, call a vet asap.

His poops are really small and some are sticky but he’s eating a lot of hay and drinking so I’m hoping he’ll be alright. Don’t know how he got to them though; mom probably left it out because I heard her scream in the morning when she found it.

That he’s eating hay is excellent! He should drink too, if he doesn’t you can offer h newly rinsed greens just so he gets water.

Things like these do happen, in this case it’s the amount that’s worrisome. Keep up the monitoring, so far it looks good.
