A couple weeks ago I met up with a family in the process of bonding 2 bunnies to give some support & advice.

Things are progressing slowly but surely…

I’m looking for some more ideas of what to use to distract rabbits when signs of aggression arise. To to bring them out of that cycle.
I’ve never been keen on the spray bottle trick but I did suggest:

        1) shaking the box/basket that the rabbits are in
        2) rattling a jar of coins
        3) thumping the ground with your hand

They are using a towel to throw on the bunnies if a fight breaks out.

So what are some other things you have used or have heard is effective?

I think it would be good to keep switching it up as the rabbits might get too accustomed to one method.

        TIA !

I have used a vacuum before. I would turn it on when they were starting to fight. I have also used the methods listed above. The last method I used that worked the best when bonding mine was using a baby stroller and setting their bonding box in it and strolling them around. This worked well especially when taking them outside in it.

Yes to the vacuum–we used a handheld one. The whole pots and pans banging together only worked the first couple of times.

In the tub if the would fight i would turn on the overhead fan and flicker the lights.

LLH that’s a creative distraction using the fan and light flickering I wish I had thought of that but tub bonding with my two was all out war I remember only trying that a couple of times before I box bonded. That’s a great idea.

My automatic reaction when we tried for a trio was to yell “No!” and thump my hand on the floor. Pure reflex.
