I take Chantix to quit smoking, and it comes in these little blister packs. So, like an absolute idiot, I left it sitting on my bed when I let Mr. Binkins out, and I went to the bathroom. I cam back a minute later, and he had partially chewed one of the blister bubbles open, and crushed a small portion of the actual pill. I don’t know how much he ate, but there’s a lot of crushed powder so I’m assuming a minimal amount, if any. I called my vet and talked to the nurse, the vet was just getting out of surgery. She said she would talk to him about it and call me back. He chewed on it 15 minutes or so ago, so I imagine if anything was going to happen, it would probably have happened by now. He’s been running around my room, nibbling on everything in sight, and behaving like a madbun. I’m not sure if that would have anything to do with the pill, or if he’s just having his crazies. He’s been more adamant about being out of his cage and doing things since we got home from our trip, and is constantly trying to get attention by getting into things/being an absolute pain. So, I’m not sure if this is normal or not. But I’m waiting for the vet to call me back, and just freaking out. Has anyone else ever gone through this? I feel so guilty.

Scared myself for nothing. At his size, he would probably have to eat 2-3 full pills, not just ingesting a few tiny pieces of one. What a relief. This little guy takes a year off my life every day.

Very. I take a couple of different medications and a TON of vitamins that wouldnt be good for him, and I live in constant fear of dropping one. So, I have no idea how i managed to forget they were on the bed. O.O

I’m glad everything is okay. What kind of rabbit do you have?

I’m pretty sure he’s a standard rex. We thought he was a mini, but he’s still getting bigger. That’s the opinion I got from a family friend who breeds and shows rabbits. But it wasn’t a good picture, so she mostly went by what I said about his fur being softer than anything in the world.
