So this morning, she elected to lay in bed with me kissing and cuddling with me, instead of her usual running around me and doing all the can to get me out of bed to play, usually starting at the crack of dawn. After i woke up, she was a bit more energetic, but she seems more attached to me than usual, and less playful. I may be a little paranoid about these things because i lost my first bunny a few months ago to an apparently really rare infectious disease that multiple vets did not diagnose (until it was too late) and if Samantha is sick, then i want to get her all the help i can. However, she was spayed about two weeks ago, so its possible that its just hormones calming down. I also am nursing a herniated disc, so she may be picking up on my problem and knows that I shouldnt be playing tag-her favorite pastime- and need plenty of cuddles. Or maybe she is just tired today. Shes eating and pooping fine, what do yall think? A vet visit or just watch her closely over the next few days?

She was spayed recently, so I want to think it’s related to that. If she is eating, pooping, and otherwise acting normal then it could just be her hormones. I say keep an eye in her for now.

I assume her incision healed ok?

I’d go with watch closely since visiting the vet is stressful. You’ve given a number of good reasons she might be cuddly. Also, I’m guessing from your mentioning having lost another bunny a few months ago, and her having just been spayed, that she is around 5 month old. If she is, she may just be out growing her baby energy and settling into her adult personality.

If something more definitive comes up like lethargy, fever, not eating/pooping, etc then take her in. If you are in the US though, you will want to be a little more likely to err on the side of caution though, since we are heading into a holiday weekend.

Thank yall for the answers! Her incision does seem to be healing well, and she is about 6 months old. I hadn’t thought about it just being her growing out of her baby stage this afternoon she is still less active than usual, but i dont want to stress her out with an unnecessary vet trip.
I’ll keep a close eye on her (easy to do because i cant work for the next few weeks!) And keep yall updated.
