Hi guys! So I have my neutered male bunny I got in February as a baby, so he is still young. I am wanting to get him a friend. I am looking at strictly females. However, I would be getting another baby. At least the 8 weeks or whatever it is when people start selling. This baby would be kept in a separate cage until litter trained and after she grows up more. I plan on bonding them thought everyday to play. They will be kept together all the time after she is old enough to spay (and after recovery of course). My question is, is it ok to bond a baby with my current bunny? I would be there to observe of course, and let them play together while I am in the room. Are younger bunnies usually easier to bond? We grew up raising and breeding bunnies but we never bonded them, so I am new to this department. Any info would be great! I will continue researching and watching bonding videos.

Start getting them used to each others smells by switching cages. U can put them all in a neutral territory. Look at house rabbit society’s pages on bonding. good luck!

Wait until after the new buns is spayed to do any bonding other than switching the litter boxes/cages. You’ll need to give her several weeks after the spay for her hormones to calm down.
