We have recently gained a few bunnies that someone was getting rid of and it has over populated the living area of the bunnies we had. I am looking to build an area outside for them so they have more space. My question is this. I have an older double door dog house. Would they use it? Thank you for the advice!

AS long as the rabbits can stand on their feet and not touch the ceiling, flop out in any direction, and walk around, then the doghouse is good. Maybe you could build a sort of covered run leading out of the doghouse so they could run around.
