So my bunny miso is back at it again, it was such a difficult week the other week and this week thngs seemed to get backt o normal she was eating very very well, last night she was hopping around and defnitely seemed to make up for the lack of food she did not eat while she was sick, started her on new died of greens as per the vet request which she absolutely loved.

This morning i wake up and notice she is in a ball in her cage, normally when i open cage door first thing in the morning she runs out and today it felt like square one. I want to cry. this is beyond frustrfating.  I did the treat test and she smelled her treats and turned her face away. I know were back at it again. Is it possible to relapse after ONE week? she was eating so heathy, no treats nothing bad i did everything the vet said. What do I do at this point?

I force fed her critical care, gave her the simithicone gas drops, gave her motility drug again and gave her pain med. should i bring her to the vet? This is BEYOND frustrating and i want to cry.

Call your vet and describe the situation. Maybe they want you to just hang in there with the meds you already have. Maybe the want to do an x-ray or take some other tests. Did the vet check her molars properly? It’s not always possible unless the bunny is put under. Molar spurs can be painful even if they are very, very tiny. My rabbit had those kinds of spurs, barely visible, but after he’d had them ground, he made a full recovery.

How are her poops? If they are very small, there may be insufficient fiber in her new diet. Fiber comes from hay primarily, so she needs to eat a good deal of hay + the greens.

I live in manhattan and there is no vet i can call unfortunately, the only thing i can do is bring her to the emergency vet which is 200$ for them to just SEE her. she has not pooped since yesterday, she wont eat, still not drinking now going on 10 days. she had huge apetite last night ate an entire cup of greens… and then this morning this.

the only thing i am thinking is she found something to munch on and maybe ate something bad? like plstic or cable?

I want her to get better but i have spent so much money already this month I dont want to drop another 200$ for them to check her out. She is somewhat curious and acting herself (as usual) but no eating and doesnt want treats… If she is still like this by the end of the night ill take her to the vet the emergency is open 24×7. I gave her round two of motility drug to help stimulate her gut but still nothing…

also another reason i am holding off on taking her to vet, is its SOOO stressful for her. she is terrified of cars and foreign noises as my apartment is very peaceful i dont want to put her through that as well.. its like damn if you do damned if you dont situation.

I think there must be something causing her to have GI issues. Possibly her teeth. Seeing a vet would really be the best thing. Did you try any of these vets?

They did an exam and said her teeth are fine. I had two vets examine her… update, i force fed her several times today and slowly she started pooping again, as of now she had a few strand of hay and had few pieces of lettuce.
