I’ve been lurking for a while, and I thought I’d finally introduce myself! I’m a college student and first time rabbit owner with a sixteen week old Holland Lop named Hugo. I’ve had him for about six weeks now. I’ve always wanted a rabbit…I can still remember begging my parents for one when I was little. My best friend has a Jersey Woolie, and I absolutely fell in love with him and his personality. Certain events in my life finally lined up, and I spent about a month researching rabbits before bringing Hugo home. I’ve had him for about six weeks now, and I learn more about him each day.

Hugo’s an extremely curious and active rabbit, and he loves hopping around and exploring. Though he prefers to be pet on his terms, he’s pretty receptive to meeting new people and isn’t easily startled by commotion. He’s grown so much in the last month, and it’s been so exciting watching him grow and learn what he’s capable of.

So adorable! I can’t wait to bring my Mini Lop home (Mini’s in Australia are the same as Hollands).

Thank you so much! I’m so excited to be part of this community.  Hugo just had his first vet appointment today, and he’s going to be neutered next Wednesday! I’m a little nervous, but the vet impressed me with her knowledge of rabbits, so I know he will be well taken care of.
