tenzin will be 6 months and so I will be switching him onto adult food and I can’t figure out which to feed. Monty hasn’t been switched to oxbow yet either so I am just gonna try switching them at the same time.

I try to give the boys only organic greens and veggies ( I i try with fruits too but often grab the wrong ones)

I too use the regular kind, the organic is not available here.

Would there be any advantage to the organic? Its 3 lbs vs 5 for the same price but I would pay it for the boys

I also use regular. The local pet store doesn’t carry the Organic on a regular basis.

We feed oxbow brands of hay. If you are looking into the oxbow might I suggest amazon? If you don’t have prime if you spend 35 dollars you get free shipping, however the food is about half the price of petsmart. We have never had any issues with what we order off amazon for our bunny.

I go to petsmart monthly anyway for cat and dog food so its easiest to just get it while I am there. cost really isn’t the issue and I would end up spending more on amazon on stuff I don’t need than to just pick up food and litter while I am there.

I am really bad about Amazon lol. I try not to go on there without a specific goal in mind.

We have prime. I’m pretty sure we are solely responsible for keeping amazon open. However we live out in the middle of no where and sometimes it makes more sense then driving into town

I will probably get prime at some point when I am not up to my elbows in vet bills lol.

I’m going to be honest, I work at petsmart and normally we have really great prices, but when it comes to oxbow food, petsmart does not have the lowest prices. I think petco might be cheaper. But if you bring proof of a lower price into petsmart, they can price match.

That’s not too much of a concern. I really just need to know which is better. Though if my local store doesn’t carry the organic its a moot point. I have to go this week for dog food and pet litters so i will see if they have it.

I use the regular kind, because that’s what my vet recommends.

Also, the absolute cheapest place I’ve found to get Oxbow is online through Drs. Foster and Smith. It’s 50% cheaper (sometimes even more because they have Oxbow sales occasionally) than Petsmart, and you get free shipping if you order more than $49 worth of stuff (I typically stock up on hay when it’s time to order pellets – Oxbow hay is $2 cheaper per bag on this site vs. Petsmart). Even if you don’t spend $49, shipping is only $3.99, which still makes the pellets much cheaper than Petsmart. I recommend looking into it! http://www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=16618

I often order from them but for my area shipping is 6.99. Its nice when I wanna stock up but I actual order farm fresh local mini bales. And sometimes I just need food.

The soybean doesn’t bother me. It’s a protein source. The big difference between the regular and the organic is that the organic has canola, dandelion, rosemary, cranberry, and blueberry. The organic has Omega 3 and 6 amounts listed. I suppose it is better because it has different ingredients. The fact that it is organic doesn’t mean a lot.
