So while we’re dealing with the stress of Aeryn’s broken leg, we do have something cute and positive to offset it!  I haven’t had time to do anything at all with our veggie patch this year and yesterday I thought it was about time that I started to clear the weeds etc out of it.  Well I don’t think I’ll be planting anything any time soon, because in the garden I found a nest with these little guys in it yesterday:

I’m taking it as a positive sign overall.

Now the really ironic thing is that we have a chickenwire fence around the garden to keep rabbits OUT. But sometime during the winter the cord that keeps the gate on it shut broke and the gate kind of flopped open into the garden.  So now the fence that was supposed to be keeping rabbits out is helping to keep them safe.

Aww, how cute!! How lucky for them with the fence =)

Our wild bunnies keep their young in burrows so they’re never seen by humans at that young age. How fascinating!

Oh, how precious!!! They would probably appreciate if you make a new garden right beside the old one with some tasty stuff in it.

Well, the bunnies have apparently moved out by now. We haven’t seen them in over 2 weeks, although we did see what we think was the mother bunny shortly after we took the picture. So we’ll weed and plant the garden now!
