        Hi all.

        New question!

My rabbit has been acting strange all day and I’m not sure if I should worry or not. In the morning he usually hops around quite a bit for about 4 hours before he settles in to his sleeping spot. This morning he just laid around all morning.

It’s now the evening. Usually he’s out in the living room chasing the dog around. Tonight he is sitting by himself in the bedroom–something he never does. He seems very jumpy, also.

However–he is still eating and pooping and is responsive if you go to him.

I’m freaking out about this very noticeable change in behavior. However, I’m wondering if it’s really time to be worried yet.

        Thanks!

You’re right to be concerned and is good that you’ve noticed something is off. He could just be having an off day, or this could be beginning sounds of illness. Keep an eye on him tonight and tomorrow. If he stops eating or pooping or becomes fully lethargic, it’s time to see the vet. In the meantime, off him some of his favorite veggies and give him fresh hay and water.
