Sorry i feel like i have been asking too many questions but i have another one.

It was a pretty warm day today. I let momo out to roam this morning and surprisingly when she stepped out her cage, she went right to the tile flooring next to her cage and layed down with her legs kicked out. She only does this when she has run multiple laps around the house and needs to cool down. So i figured it was because of the heat. Then she started flopping over the way which she normally does when she is about to sleep. This was also on the tile which is pretty uncomfortable as she was not able to get into her sleep position on it.

Then she started doing something strange. She began digging on the tile floor! I have never seen her do this before! The only time she digs the floor is when her nails have gotten too long. So this was a strange sight to see. She also did this in her “bed” which is a large litter box located in her cage. She just continued digging.

Im not sure why she did this. Was she hot? Angry? What do you guys think?

bunnies are natural diggers so I can understand the digging in her bed, I’ve made Hera a dig box for her to play in when she feels the need. I can’t speak for the “digging” the tile though. maybe she was too warm? do you have other contingency plans in place for when it’s overly hot?
PS. no such thing as too many questions. I (and I’m sure the senior members will agree on this too) would rather see you ask a ton of questions than not and then see a thread about something happening to your bunny. knowledge is power

I’m so embarrassed to say this but I dont know what to do when its warm. :/ she is my second bunny but my first passed away within 2 weeks so i never experienced summer with a bun. I heard you should have a cold water bottle and i tried that but she hates it. What else can i do?

There are some fans you can buy that goes on the cage, I plan to get one for just in case, but I’m in England, not many people buy these here so there are loads online.
