For some reason Olly keeps putting hay in his water, he still eats it though, I clean him out or put fresh hay in, straight away he is dunking his hay, I take it out but he puts more in, any ideas what he is up to? Is he dunking hay like we dunk biscuits in tea?

          It’s probably not intentional.

Either unintentional or fun, especially if you take it out right away!

My bun is a culinary rabbit as well. We watched him daily for a week methodically push his pellets out of his bowl, hop over to his water dish, splash it onto the pellets until they puffed up and then happily devour them. He only drank(drinks) out of the dog water bowl across the room and just used his water for this messy activity, so we ended up just taking it out and he shares with the dog. Maybe move the water further away to discourage your rabbit?

Smokey loves putting water on her hay. She also loves laying in water she used to drip all over the floor. I have to keep her hay in her litter box (half wood pellet litter/half hay) and her water on the COMPLETE opposite side of her cage so she would stop. I would tell her constantly how gross she was, but she didn’t seem to mind!

Could be accidental or the bunny is having fun putting the hay there since he knows you take it out.
