Ok So actual intro’s cant start until after the neuters which should be by the end of the month ( we all know how expensive neuters are and I wanna do them at the same time)

But still a lot can happen before you even let them have play times together

My boys only ” met ” today. When my new boy came home. Their pens are spaced about 3 inches apart so they can not ” get to” each other to harm each other if they wanted to.

So far the new boy seems like he wants to meet Tenzin, He hops over and sticks his head into the bars trying to sniff. Tenzin … Ignores the new guy… Unless he see’s me trying to give the new guy his veggies.

So I would say so far so good, no signs of stress anger or spraying. Though I know its WAY too early to guarantee anything.

I had to downsize Monty’s cage to try to coax him to little train. So I let him roam the room while I moved the pen. He hopped right over to Tenzin, They sniffed each other and touched noses then went back to what they were doing lol.

          Very laid back boys.

That’s great that they get on. When I fist bought Oreo and gizmo they loved eachother they used to clean eachther and sleep together then they started chasing each other and humping I got them neutered tried to bond them again but they hate eachother now they have to live in separate cages.

During Tenzins Bonding sessions ( with me) Monty follows his every move even running back and forth as Tenzin does. I think I heard him thump a few times. But I am not sure if its aggression towards him or warning him about me.

Bunnies thump for various reasons. It can be out of alarm and even annoyance.

Sounds like pre-bonding is going well. I’m sure you can’t wait until they are neutered so you can see how they are together “for real”.

Yeah, I am trying to get together the funds to do both boys at the same time. But as you know Neuters aren’t cheap.

I am just glad I ended up with two very mellow boys.

Well, if Tenzin is anything like my Leopold, then yep you have yourself one laid back bunny. I think that’s the stereotype though.

He is unsure about touching, but tonight during bonding he came over and laid by my side. So he will come around

Yes, Leopold was like that. He still is a lot of the time. He often lets me know I have offended him by flicking his feet at me. But most happenings around him don’t ever bother him and it was love at first sight between him and Wooly (after all the humping was over, that is).

I think right now I am just hoping everyone is healthy so I can save for the neuters lol.

Well they get their check ups on Monday. The vet is apparently experienced with neuters, but I hope he is experienced with rabbits while they are awake too lol. My boys are a bit difficult and I am super terrified someone is going to jump off a table and get hurt.

Well while trying to corral Monty back into his cage Tenzin has his side resting along the cage bars … Monty ran over and was intently sniffing Tenzin … Still no aggression at all. Hopefully they keep up this ” no aggression pact ” lol
