I built my first rabbit a new cage a few months ago, then we got a second rabbit. They get along bonding was really easy. We don’t take them out as much as we should and that’s our fault. Lately our oldest doesn’t really seem to trust use anymore, he started coming out less and less since we put him in the new cage I’m finally reaching for help with him out we love him and want to have them out together. Does anyone have any ideas?

Is he eating well, peeing and pooping like he should? Have you been able to feel through his ody looking for possible injuries, wounds, lumps etc? Sometimes bonded bunnies still nip each other and a wound like that may become infected and form an abscess. I’m thinking underlying health-issue here, because wounded prey animals like rabbits tend to withdraw if they are in pain etc, not to attract attention from predators.
