Last year I rescued an older New Zealand White named Hershel after he was set free in my neighborhood. Sadly we lost him to a URI and Stasis back in September, before I could get him neutered and bonded with Watson. Watson has since gone back to ruling the house, but still seemed sad when I wasn’t home (or maybe I thought so because I missed having 2 bunnies haha). So yesterday I brought home a 9 week old lop/lionhead/rex mix I named Willow! She was from an accidental litter, but from a good home. Her brothers and sisters were all very fluffy, but I loved her coloring. She is my first baby bunny, and first bunny that didn’t come from an abusive situation or abandoned. She is very brave and feisty, so I can already tell this will be quite an adventure!

King Watson watching over his house.

Sorry for your loss of Hershel. I hope Willow and Watson become great friends in the future. They are gorgeous.

Congrats on your new bunny! She is very pretty. Hopefully you will have a good bonding experience with Watson. I love his photo.

Thank you! Watson loves to pose for the camera, or really any time at all. He wants all of the attention. He went into my room where Willow is currently in her cage and all he wanted to do was watch her with his nose on the bars. Maybe that is a good sign.

Willow moved into a pen next to Watson today! They have been taking turns laying by side of the cage they share. I think they will be good friends some day. I have added some toys and a box since I took these pictures. She has so much personality and isn’t scared of anything. She has totally grown since I got her too. I’m going to go through so much hay since they are both very good hay eaters.
