  Meeko seems bored in her cage, she’s always looking at me through the bars and sticking her nose through them. She has a hammock in the corner, a large castle thingy to jump on, a bird toy she never plays with, wooden sticks she never eats, a wooden house she never eats and a box and some cardboard tubes. I don’t know what else to give her? I want to put a second level in there but I have no money right now to buy the wood or whatever im going to make it out of (btw which wood is safe to use in case she chews it? or other non wood ideas to make a big level out of). Ideas?

  I’ve stuffed a brown paper lunch bag with hay and a few pellets my bun went nuts. Newspaper so they can shred it watch they dont ingest. Try a cardboard box my bun loves his.

  My buns LOVE phone books and catalogs…If I put a new issue of the yellow pages in their area, they go to town shredding it and making a mess. I also give them junk mail catalogs to shred, and they love that. Also, pretty much any time I empty a cardboard box, they get it. Big boxes, small boxes, medium boxes…they don’t care. I tossed an empty Mac and Cheese box in there last night and that kept them busy for a couple of hours, hahaha.

  Meeks isn’t much of a shredder. She occasionally chews on the boxes I keep around the living room, but only for a minute. She prefers hiding under stuff, and running around. I’m really hoping she does some new things! Like.. collecting stuff in her cage, or something cute like that
