My little bunny loves her food, but she hates people reaching in and grabbing her food. For some reason, a gentle hand placed over her eyes and it’s all good. Is there a better way to stop her territorial behavior (quite literally biting the hand that feeds her) than covering her eyes? She is fine with anything going into the cage and even fine with cleanings, but she hates things being taken out.

This other question is unrelated, but may as well ask it on the same thread. A while back, my rabbit was getting dangerously underweight, this had come from me traveling a lot and leaving other people to feed her, and me just not understand how much she could eat. I don’t know if it was voluntary or not, but she would tilt her ear to a side like a lop. She wouldn’t stop this, so I took her to the vet. The vet told me she was underweight and that probably saved her life. Was this just an involuntary side effect of being underweight or was she sending a message that something is wrong?

Olly was the same, about food, he got used to it, but it was bowls cleaning out, everything, even touching him in his cage, has bunny had her operation? It might calm her down, but it can take a while after to calm down, just be gentle, never clean or empty her cage when she is in it, it is a big thing to a bunny cleaning them out, Olly climbs in his cage as soon as it is empty for some reason and I just say. “Come on out, nearly done.” its his home, so he is wondering what is going on, then when he goes back in he pushes everything to where he wants them, making a racket, its like if someone cleans your room and they put your clean clothes on your desk, you don’t want them there it goes somewhere where you want it, just stay calm when cleaning her cage, open the door let her come out on her own, I was told to open his cage and sit on my bed and wait for him to come out, he did but before I used to get the top off the cage and take his things out and put him under the top of the cage with his things with newspaper underneath, but now I put all his toys where he is playing, as for the underweight bunny stuff I don’t know, maybe someone else can help.
