Hi, I’m a pet rabbit owner of several years now, I currently have two male mini-rexes, and soon my home is going to be fumigated. I wanted to see if any fellow bunny owners (AKA rabbit slaves) could share their experiences with fumigation?
Of course my family and the bunnies will not be in building as it is fumigated, and we’ll wait until the fumigation company company gives us the “O.K.” to return, but are there any other precautious should I take to keep my bunnies safe when we return? The fumigators are going to be using a gas that isn’t supposed to leave any type of residue, and they even said we don’t need to wash our dishes (that will be done anyway I’m sure hahaha).
I’m going to take everything out of the bunnies’ play areas so nothing will be left inside during the fumigation, and I plan to air the house out well when we get home. Is there anything else I should be concerned about in regards to the safety of the bunnies upon return? Does anyone have any experience with fumigating their house with pet rabbits? Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Hi! I had my house fumigated a while ago and my bunnies were absolutely fine afterwords. I think as long as they are out of the house during the procedure they will be fine
