So I got a bunny and she’s very social and has kicked me and marked me so I know she can be sweet. She does however nip a lot. This doesn’t hurt when she’s biting bare skin but she bites me through my clothes hard enough to leave bruises and welts. Is this just because she doesn’t realize I’m under the clothes? She’s also very sexually frustrated right now and circles me and tries to mount me all the time. I don’t think she’s being very agrees I’ve but the bites really hurt.

She might not realize she’s hurting you. Have you tried squealing when she does it? Girl bunnies tend to hump more for dominance. What is she doing leading up to the humping? The other scenario is that she is really a he.

Are you using oat based creams and wash like Aveeno? Fruity shower or bath gels? My Olly bit me when I used Aveeno.

My Coney used to that but when I started saying No or ouch, while he is looking at me (straight into his eyes, say it like you mean it) and rub my sore leg he stopped doing it after I’ve done it a few times. Now he just licks me.They are very intelligent they know when you are upset with them.

Mine was biting. I tapped her on the nose and said no. You have to do it consistently. She sort of stopped. She does it once in a while but I still say no and tap her on her nose. Is your bunny fixed?

Bramble used to do that when he was a baby, he would never bite our skin but would bite through clothes. I always assumed it was him sort of trying to figure out what the clothes were (or more like ‘can I eat that?), he stopped after being neutered

Is she spayed? Guessing not since she’ sexually frustrated. Spaying might help but Boston never stopped humping and she would nip/bite while she tried to hump my hubby’s arm. Make a loud pitched squealing nose to scare her off; be consistent with it so she knows it hurts you.

I concur with the advice to squeal when she does it, I’m case she doesn’t know she’s hurting you.
Puck didn’t seem to get that though, so we started saying no and getting out of his pen and ignoring him for a minute or two, so he learnt that biting meant he didn’t get to play and cuddle with us. Of course, if she’s doing it to make you move or get out of her space, that won’t work.
Just thought I’d mention it in case the squeaking approach doesn’t work.

My rabbit gizmo used to do this I don’t think they realise that they are hurting you when they bite but if it carries on make a noise to alert her she’s biteing
