i use wire mesh cubes as fencing for my bunny and he loves to bite it till the coat is gone. the metal is getting rusty and is it still safe for the bunny to bite on it? will the rusty wire mesh be harmful to the rabbit?

Well I would be concerned about metal poisoning… But I am not an expert on this matter.

Personally, I would wire brush it and coat with with something that is safe for your bunny (if there is such a thing) however if you’re in doubt in any way about it, nothing wrong with being cautious and getting rid of it

Maybe pick up some new ones-they are usually pretty cost effective so should hopefully be doable to replace; then to hopefully prevent it from happening again provide chew toys (mine always loved cat condos’ to chew and dig) and maybe spray the cubes with a bitter spray.
