        Hi all,

as we all know, vegetables usually contains a certain level of pesticides on them when they’re grown to keep away bugs and stuff but is it safe for bunnies to consume? I would prefer giving my bunny organic produce but it is quite costly where im staying and it will definitely hurt my pocket in the long run.

        any alternatives to that?

i read that white vinegar might be able to remove the pesticides on the veges, is that recommended?

I think that a good washing with water, followed by a few spins in a salad spinner, will hopefully remove most or all of the pesticides that may have been used. Or you can try a bottled veggie wash. Here is one: http://veggiewash.beaumontproducts.com/, and I have seen others.

Some vegetables contain more pesticides than others. You can wash vegetables well, but I would avoid conventional vegetables with high water content.

I buy organic herbs and organic packaged greens, but have to buy conventional green and red leaf lettuce. I remove and discard a few layers of outer leaves, rinse the rest well, soak it, and spin it before packing it. Every time I’ve tried organic green or red leaf lettuce, Moshi gets poopy butt. Go figure!
