Hello everyone. Today Pamper was much more active, eating, drinking and pooping so I thought I’d check her incision and scarring… This is a pic I took today, which is 48 hours after the surgery.
Can someone tell me if this looks like it’s healing? I honestly have no idea since I don’t have a reference to compare it to.

im not 100% sure, im a nurse for people not animals, but if i saw a human with a post op line like that 48 hours post op id be happy, it looks like its joined well, no redness or inflammation, id just keep an eye out for inflammation and if she seems to be bothering it (excessive grooming or scratching to that area). Looks great, glad Pamper is doing well!

Marlee’s was smaller but looked about the same. I don’t know what I was expecting, but vet incisions aren’t usually plastic surgeon pretty! I emailed a pic to the vet who spayed Marlee and he said it looked fine. As long as there’s no swelling, redness around the incision, etc., I think it looks fine, but if you have any concerns, call the vet and/or email them the pic — they know we worry about our babies!

Thank you both so much! I have a question though. She is moving and walking around but it looks like she moves her back feet with hesitation. Could it be that the general swelling causes it to be uncomfortable to move them?
