I really like that it’s battery operated-no cord to chew-I think it’s a great option. And it’s meant for pets too

Does it keep the rabbit cool?

Yes, I have those for each of my buns. I really like them. They are not super powered or anything but they do help some. We have window a/c in the living room but not in the rabbit room so it’s nice to have a way to help direct the cool air towards the bunnies. On really hot days I put a frozen water bottle in front of the fan. My buns really seem to like them. Olivia will lay right in front of hers. They are pretty quiet as well. I paid $10.00 for them over 3 years ago and have been using them every summer since. Definitely worth the $ IMO.

Thank you. Where in your buns cage do you put the fan?

Those are cool! I think I might pick up a few!
I’m with K&K, I am super happy there is no cord to chew. LPT, do the batteries run out quickly?

K&SMom- I put them right on the condo door. My buns have big rectangle cube condos.

LEL- They take two big D batteries. I find the batteries last pretty long. I don’t even think I replaced the Duracell ones last summer. But I don’t leave the fans going all day. I just put them on a couple of hours at a time several times a day. I actually keep a small thermometer in the rabbit room and when it gets hotter than I’d like I turn them on. I’m pretty anal about the heat but I’m super paranoid about my buns overheating. Unfortunately, their room is the hottest in the house since it’s in the front where the sun hits.

Do you leave them on when your gone? Thats what I am looking at them for. When I am not at home to keep my bunny cool.

I don’t usually leave them on for more than a couple of hours at a time. Mostly to preserve the battery. I’m not sure how they would hold up being on for 8 hours or so a day. You’d obviously be replacing the battery often. And I don’t rely on them alone to keep the buns cool. I use them as well as the window a/c, cold water bottles, etc. I don’t think they would do much on their own on a very hot, humid day.
