My rabbit, Snowball, who I got at a swap meet, spent the night at my dad’s friend’s house. She has a bunny as well, who is a male. Dad’s friend (let’s just call her Ro) wanted her bunny and Snowball to be friends. When Snowball came back, she started shedding and eating a lot. I didn’t know why until my dad told me she gave birth to SEVEN little bunnies. One of them, a cream colored one, unfortunately died. But the rest of them are alive, but since Snowball gave birth in the garage, we need to find them IN THE GARAGE. And our garage has a lot of stuff cluttered around, including a CAR. So my dad found all of them except one, who is under my dad’s broken car.

I’m afraid my rabbit will give birth AGAIN, and there will be a bunch of rabbits crawling around the place and giving birth AGAIN. Should I spay and neuter them?

How old are the babies? And yes, for certain you want to get Snowball spayed and you will need to get the babies sexed and separated…

This is a recipe for oodles and oodles of bunnies. I agree with Sarita, you need to have Snowball spayed and you need to make sure the babies are sexed properly and separated once they are weaned so they don’t start breeding with each other. You’ll need to get all of the babies spayed/neutered once they are old enough.

spaying and neutering has some benefits. aka less spraying, supposedly calms them down, lowers hormones. a few weeks ago I learned it drastically cuts the risk of uterine cancer in girl bunnies!
which is great because it’s supposed to be super common unfortunately. aside from that, tons of bunnies trotting around will eventually get nerve wracking and you don’t want any in-breeding going on. I’d advise getting the work done to prevent any further “multiplication tables”

if you are serious about being a responsible bunny parent, then yes, you want to get them spayed and neutered, this should be a number one priority not only for their sake, but also for yours as well.
