Hi, I’m new to the forums so I don’t really know how this works. I know this is a house rabbit forum but maybe you guys could help me? My rabbit hasn’t ever been in the grass before because of worms and ticks and stuff, but I was wondering if they actually needed pills? She gets to go out on the deck but there’s not much to do and it must be boring for her. I wanted to build a run for her in the grass. She is an outdoor rabbit but she stays on the deck. We have indoor cats and when they go out with her we don’t want them to get worms. Also does she get distemper shots like cats?  Sorry about all the questions, but this is my first rabbit and I want her to stay healthy when she’s outside.

You don’t give rabbits worm pills or distemper shots…

I don’t ever recommend letting your rabbit outside because of ticks, fleas, pesticides, botflys….too many dangers. I think allowing her on the deck only is the best idea – you can make it more fun for her there by putting out cardboard boxes or other stuff to keep her entertained.

Ok that’s what I thought.. The cardboard box thing is a good idea; she loves knocking them down! Thanks!
