Yes its a long time ago, 20 years ago 10th May, Nia my Cashmere Lop passed away, she was very friendly and a show rabbit, she was staying with my mother as I was away on a nursing course, I went to visit her and took apples carrots and all tasty treats for her, I went into the room and opened her cage, there she was laying there asleep forever, I picked her up and carried her into the living room and my grandma had come to see us too, she was standing there smiling with a small bag of vegetable pieces, she loved Nia. I said “Gran, she’s gone.” We both looked at each other and burst into tears,  she just said through tears. “She’s OK now love don’t worry, your great granny will be looking after her now.” I remember taking Nia to my Great Grandma, they had a wonderful time sleeping on the sofa. I used to take Nia into schools and nursing homes, I do miss her still after all these years.

Our dearest, most treasured friends stay in our hearts forever.
I’m a puddle after reading your post. It sounds like she was a really wonderful and adored being.
It’s no wonder she is still in your heart and on your mind. She always will be.

That you have such vivid memories of her is certainly a testament to how much you loved her. She was lucky to have you.

She was great LittlePuffyTail, we (Me and Nia) helped a disabled boy get over his fear of rabbits, by the end of the day he was feeding her and saying. “Nia, come to me.” he learnt everything about her, what she liked and didn’t and said “She is tired and wants you now, go to your Mummy Nia.” then she would come to me let me stroke her and then get in her box for a sleep.”
