So I just got my Netherland dwarf bun of 5 weeks (he isn’t neutered) and I’ve started to litter train

Everything has been going really well at first

He poops and pees inside of the box but sometimes it seems like he just doesnt realize that he’s only supposed to poo inside the box and he just poops right outside of it. But he ALWAYS pees inside of the litter box????

I place all his poop pellets back inside of the litter to show him that this is where he is supposed to go but no luck

Attached is his cage set up

        Any tips?

This is typical and at least he is peeing in the litter box and that is the most important. Most rabbits do not poop 100% in their litter box…but I would encourage you to get a larger cage or an x-pen and a much larger litter box – your box is probably too small.

Also at this age, don’t expect a whole lot – he’s very young.

Sarita is right, as always, so I hesitate to add. I will just also say, though, that the pooping mostly stops after neutering. I don’t think you’ll find many stray droppings after he’s neutered. But he will still find times to get attitude about this or that and leave some little gifts to let you know he’s not pleased.

Sarita and MB are right but putting hay in/near the box so he has to sit in the box to eat it helps, my rabbit was the same way until I moved his hay now he’s perfect with his litter training ! Good luck!
