Hi, I’m new here! I’m in need of some input about a new bunny I will be picking up this weekend. He is a gorgeous English Lop and I’m head over heels for him, however today his breeder sent me a photo that has me a bit concerned. Although the photo looks to have been taken head on, it appears that one side of his face is almost droopy looking, and with one eye larger than the other! Do you think this is just the photo? Has anyone ever seen this before? I want to make sure if that’s really  the case there are no health risks I’m taking on. I know the best thing to do is to bring it up with the breeder, and I plan to do that too, but I just would like some opinions. Thanks!

Welcome! This bunny is beautiful!! Look at those long ears =D

I don’t think you have anything to worry about, I think it’s the angle that is making one eye bigger than the other. I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t point that out. As for the droopiness, if you look at the top of the sofa, you can see it’s not a straight photo. So your new bunny’s face isn’t lopsided, just the photo =P

I agree that I would not just go by the photo – any rabbit that you do adopt however should be seen by your vet after adoption for a thorough examination.

              Hi again,

I talked to his breeder and she said he is perfect. So it was just the photo I’m getting him this weekend and will try to post more photos. Very excited to get this sweet boy, I’ve been told he follows you around and comes when calls. <3
