Yesterday Scrumpet, my 6 yr old Holland lop passed. He was only with us for 3 months and had health problems that we didn’t know about when we adopted him. We had been working with our vet since Scrumpet came home with us. Over the past weekend he had made huge improvements, so much so we thought he was going to be fine. Yesterday my husband came home and Scrumpet couldn’t even hold himself up and when he went to take him to the vet Scrumpet started gasping for air and passed in my husbands arms. While he wasn’t with us long he touched our hearts so much, he was the sweetest little bun. We are devastated by his loss, it was so hard packing up his things. I miss him so much. What makes it even harder is that the other two rabbits we have were looking for him last night.

Goodbye Scrumpet, you will forever be loved and missed.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It was wonderful that you opened your home to Scrumpet and gave him all that care and attention, including someone to hold him as he passed. Binky free Scrumpet!

I’m so sorry. But as all others have said, it is just great that you took him in like you did and filled his last 3 months with love and attention so he knew he had a proper home.
