So I just moved to a new apartment down south. And everybody knows about the “water bugs” aka roaches. I have not seen any yet, but I was thinking of taking preventative measures to make sure the only animals in my home are the ones I brought in. I got some bug pellets for ants, roaches, etc. chuey has free run of the apartment when I’m home and I don’t want him to find any of these pellets. I’m thinking I can put them around the apartment in places that chuey can’t go. Like behind the TV, under the dresser. Has anyone ever done this?

Hmmm, places a bunny can’t go. That is bordering on an oxymoron

I would avoid using baits anywhere as bunnies have an uncanny ability for getting into things they shouldn’t. There are a lot of natural, bunny friendly barrier treatments it might be better to try first.

I wouldn’t use pesticides anywhere near where bunny might go. Just keep an eye out for ways bugs might get in, and use nontoxic deterrents.

Yeah, I wouldn’t use baits. As Roberta said, bunnies have ways of getting places where they shouldn’t. If you use something, I would give diatomaceous earth a try. It is “pet safe”, but to be safe I would still make sure it isn’t where your bunny can reach it. You wouldn’t want them to accidentally inhale the powder (could cause respiratory problems).
