        Hi everyone,

When I got home from school my mom told me that Olive jumped out of his cage twice. I thought she was joking- the x-pen is 58″
high & he’s a tiny little 4 month old bun. I can barely even step over it! Then I saw one of his escape attempts in action..
I got scared that he’s going to hurt himself so I built a “roof” using leftover NIC storage grids. Earned a few thumps for that
Later, after I put him back in his pen after floor time, I left for like a minute to get some lettuce and came back to him literally scaling the wall of the cage like he’s King Kong or something lol. Didn’t even know that rabbits can climb.

I let him out enough and he has tons of toys in his pen, and he’s pretty protective of it. Yet he suddenly seems to hate it and doesn’t want to be in it anymore. What could’ve caused the change of heart? And what can I do to make sure he doesn’t hurt himself in another jailbreak attempt?

Putting the cover on the pen will hopefully stop him from climbing or jumping over and yes, rabbits can climb.

It’s hard to know really why a rabbit does anything but my best guess is he knows he can get out so he does.
