Does anyone else watch their rabbit eat? Whenever I have the time, I love to just sit and watch my rabbits eat. Veggies are especially fun to watch, but hay can be good, too. I love the little noises that they make when they are crunching away. My sibling pair are especially entertaining because, even if I put down a plate full of their favorites, they almost always steal a veggie out of the other’s mouth, and a game of ‘grab the best noms’ is on.

I love watching my rabbit eat! I like seeing fuji enjoy her veggies and love to see hay disappear into her mouth. They have the cutest mouths.

Yes! Those tiny little mouths, the twitchy whiskers, the chubby cheeks! Yes, they are soooo cute!

I love watching Bam when he eats a segment of orange. He munches loudly and squirts orange-juice around him. It’s just adorable!

I love hearing them eat, like when I’ve gone to bed and put and the light and Yohio digs in on his night-food. It’s such a comforting sound to fall asleep to.

I love when they get an extra long piece of hay and it starts disappearing into their mouths like a little chipper-shredder. Or when one of the smaller bunnies tackle a huge lettuce leaf. Raisin time is funny too, because a bunny will get a raisin and they’ll be chewing away. But when I offer a second one, they start chewing quickly so they can snarf another one in! Lok

Nom wars are adorable! Its so funny when they steal food or hay from each other’s mouths — especially funny to watch when its a long piece of hay and the same piece gets stolen back and forth a couple of times! I love hearing a crunchy piece of lettuce disappearing too. Moshi enjoys eating so much that sometimes toward the end of a meal, he closes his eyes while chewing like he’s savoring every bite. I think my favorite thing though is walking in on bunnies eating hay and one of them stops chewing then turns to look at me with like 6 or 7 pieces of hay sticking out of their mouth (its usually Marlee that does this!). In a second or two, the hay starts moving and disappears! I’ve tried to get a pic of this but its always blurry. How does LLH keep getting Pumpkin in the mid-munch pic and I can’t even get one shot?!?! LOL!

Chester is hilarious when he’s eating cilantro or parsley. Just picks up the stalks one by one and you can see them disappear into his little mouth. The boyfriend and I get mesmerized by it! OMNOMNOMNOM

I LOVE to watch them eat! In fact I wasn’t feeling well tonight so hubby brought their salads to the living room so I could watch them munch from the couch! JR–I just take a thousand pictures click click click and usually end up with a couple good ones! I like when they steal from each other too! Pumpkin is always taking the good stuff from the bowls before Rocky gets a chance.

I also like feeding them pellets and making them periscope for them.

I like it when Pumpkin has hay in her mouth sideways and she keep flicking her head and turning in circles trying to get it in her mouth right. Or if she gets a big piece of parsley, she’ll periscope until its not dragging on the ground.

Rocky tends to get excited about something while he’s eating hay and hop out of the box with the hay in his mouth. Then he finds something better to do and leaves the hay behind. Sigh….hay is everywhere….

LLH — Marlee and Moshi do that too. Its not unusual to find Moshi on the other side of the room with hay hanging out of his mouth just munching away. Kieko does it being nosy — she’ll hear a noise in the hallway and bring the hay with her. We thought she was gettimg a head tilt there for a while but it was her leaning her head so she could see/hear what was going on in the hall better!

Oh, forgot one! The orchard grass hay we get has pieces that are like 1 1/2 to 2 ft long (I cut it in shorter pieces). I’ve given them a long piece before and saw them do the Lady and the Tramp spaghetti thing with it! One of them will jerk the last bite when it gets short though.

LLH – I do the same thing with the pellets. Gadget and Gizmo don’t get many any more now that they are a year old, so I like to hand feed them in the morning, and love having them periscope for their pellets!

I love watching my buns eat. I always wonder if their little jaws get tired, the move so fast. I love how skilled those little mouth fingers are when you give them a huge piece of lettuce.

I love watching the bun in the house eat, its quite cute especially when she’s got a piece of parsley and trying to chew it sideways and then figures out how to eat it.

I’d love to see a nom war, but I only have one and my wife is dead set against a second, ever. (Not that we have room right now.)

I have a particular fondness for getting a glimpse of Mr Roger’s tongue, so cute.

Yes! So cute and amazing when they get a super long piece of hay. And I love listening to them crunch their lettuce. It’s so adorable. Which is funny, because I hate the sound of people eating.

All I heard was chomp chomp chomp. It was so cute. I had just got a new box of hay and they were eating like it was the best thing they ever ate.
