Should I buy a small cushion to put in his toy box and just remove his bed? Leave the bed for him to maybe get adjusted? He’s still new to us, but I was wondering if this is normal or not. Thanks in advance! I would love to know where every bunny “sleeps” or retires to at night. Currently he has a cage, but we keep the door open. He is neutered and potty trained! I will say that when I say it’s a toy box it’s a cloth cube like you would see many used together in something like a bookcase to make an organizer. However, his is now flipped on it’s side to have a covering over it. I’ve also looked into a burrow bed where he could snuggle into it. I would like to hear where every bunny sleeps since every bunny is different, and what you find to be the best for a bunny who likes extra shelter. He also has been crawling under the bed when it’s bed time, and we don’t want that to be an option.

Sorry CM, but my bunny Henry does sleep under our bed – Oooop’s! Lol!

          Cheers.

My bunny Yohio sleeps in my bed, at the foot end. He used to sleep under the bed but he has evolved =)

My bunny Bam sleeps under the coffea-table, or on his own bed.

Some bunnies like to pee on soft things like cushions, so if you get a cushion, make sure it can be washed.

LOL bam – I was waiting for you to post with Yohio sleeps ‘on’ your bed, ha ha ha!

Poor Bam, sleeping under a coffee table, LOL! BTW CM, you should see bam’s bed, it is SUPER cute! But it’s not a bunny bed as most would assume, ha ha ha!

Bonnie and Clyde’s flooring is plywood and they have sea grass mats to get on if they want. Most of the time they sit or lay on the bare floor. Bumpy has a no-pile rug in his and a sea grass mat, but I’m about to take his carpet away and leave bare plywood in his pen too. Mine seem to prefer the bare floor.

Yes (thanks manic), I should have thought to mention that…. when Henry sleeps under my bed, he lays/sleeps on the carpet. But through the day when he lays out in the kitchen/family area with me, he lays on the vinyl flooring. If he lays in his house, he lays on newspaper that the hubby lines his floor with to keep cleaning his house easy.

At this very moment Henry is laying under the dining table on the vinyl floor waiting for me to pack up and go to bed, ha ha ha!

My bunny is weird and does not like soft things, like towels, blankets, or rugs. He sleeps on the hard plastic on the bottom of his cage. We’ve tried to line the bottom with fleece but he moves it all until he’s on the plastic part. When he’s in the main living area he’ll only sleep on the hardwood floor, and not the area rug.

My bunnies have upside down boxes with a door cut in it and a blanket on the bottom. Olivia has baby blankets and Bindi has a faux fur blanket.

Kieko sleep on a plush small dog bed or in her 2nd litterbox that she has apparently designated as a bed. Both are out in the open in her condo. Marlee and Moshi both sleep on fleece inside their tunnel haven. Moshi will sprawl out right in the middle of the floor for a quick nap if the urge hits him though!

Mine sleep on anything and everything. All they ever do is sleep and eat! Ha! But they have carpeting in their condo as well as fleece blankets. I see them rest on both equally.

Tuna & Barley used to each have little beds like this before they were spayed/neutered after I combined them into a large x-pen they just peed on the beds so I got ride of them bc I was tired of washing them and digging all the hair out that would collect in there

Now they stretch out on their carpet or sleep in their two story cardboard condo I got off BB

I have one who likes to sleep on the heat registers (they put out cool air when the heat isn’t on) and the other one just flops wherever she pleases.
In the summer when it’s hot I have large tils I put in the freezer and they LOVE to lay on those.

Our bun sleeps in her cage at night, but it’s a large cage and she loves it even when she has free run during the day. We’d leave her out over night but my biggest fear in California is waking up to an earthquake and frantically trying to find her!

During the day though, she rotates her favorite sleeping areas. Her cage is one, she loves a memory foam bed that we got from Petco (I think it’s for cats normally), she loves her cardboard maze, a couple of door mats we have lying around, and when she’s feeling really silly, she’ll just sleep on the wood floor or tiles! I think the honest truth is, bunnies get oddly comfortable in the weirdest places!
