Any tips on how to catch a rabbit? Saturday night a friend FB’d me a message asking if Pepper was missing? I told her no, and she said that there was a rabbit in someone’s yard a couple houses down from me.  I’ve been keeping  my eye out for it and i just saw it. It was across the street about 2-3 houses down under their car.  We brought some rabbit pellets but when we approached it ran across the street. It is definitely not a cottontail bunny.  About 12-24 months ago there was a family in the town 2 miles away that released like 100 rabbits, so i’m wondering if it’s one of them.  I’ve never seen them up near our house though, they normally hang out in the town where they were released.  We have animal traps (live ones where you just release the animal.) do you think that would work, or freak the rabbit out to much.

Take a look at this thread — there’s a link to catching stray buns in it.

thanks. He ran back towards the woods. I’ll keep my eye out and try some more of the tips. I wish he/she’d come closer to my yard, but so far he’s been seen between 2-4 houses down the road.
