Hi, I’m now to this group. I do have experience with rabbits, but this one is new…

Yesterday my boyfriend and I built her a new hutch where she has lots more room to run around. But today she was acting funny. I reached into her cage to pet her and she grunted the entire time, then when I came back to put her toy in her cage she lunged at me and tried to bite.

Could it be because she’s in an unfamiliar place and she’s not settled in? Or should I worry?

        More information:
She’s half hollandlop and half chinchilla
        1 year old

Hi, Carly. Just want to mention that the subject of intentionally breeding bunnies is against the rules here.

But I will answer your questions as best I can. It’s most likely due to her being territorial, as she is unspayed.
