So, since yesterday, I’ve noticed Nala (Surprisingly NOT the new baby bunny.) has been suckling on a pillowcase. At first I thought she was chewing on it, but I took it out of her mouth and there was no bite marks on it. Does anyone know why she’s doing this? Do you think it could be because of the new baby? I thought maybe it was her teeth, but she’s eating fine (Hay, greens, and pellets are all devoured.) chewing on her toys like normal, and destroying cardboard like normal. She also keeps peeing on my bed, which I know for a fact is because of the new bunny because the only other time she’s done that is when we first moved house and everything was different.

Maybe she’s grooming the pillow because it smells like you?

I had a very similar thing with my bun. I ended up taking away the piece of material, but it was so strange. I looked online but couldn’t find anything about it. It wa snot a piece of material I had personally used, so I don’t think it smelt like me, but she was obsesseds with it.

We had to make a rule in my house that no one could leave ANY throw pillows on the floor in the rabbit area as if we did…. we’d find it totally soaked in bunny spit after she’d have licked them to death. We never could figure out why she’d do it either… we thought it tasted like something she liked and that’s why she did it. She was known as a big licker though… she’d groom any stuffy my daughter left on the floor.
